First of all (perhaps a bit too late) HAPPY NEW YEAR. I'm not that happy anymore because today was my first day of school in 2009. School started again after a holiday of two weeks. Waking up at 7 in the morning is'nt that funny at all. Now I've got to work very hard, therefore so little posts.

No 'Best of 2008' and 'Worst of 2008' posts because my blog is'nt that old.

The name says it already, this post will be a bit different than y'all are expecting. There's a style of music which I listen very often the last few weeks. Especially when I'm coming home at 5 o'clock in the morning after a long evening and after a few beers. Dubstep is the perfect music to listen to. That's why this post is a bit different, it's not about Electronic like 'Justice' or 'Daft Punk', it about 'Tes La Rok'

'Tes La Rok' is one of the Helsinki underground music pioneers. He is one of the leaders in Dubstep music. I think he is one of the best producers and dj's in his style.

Everywhere are dubstep party's nowadays. The style has become famous in the underground. If you can see 'Tes La Rok' or another famous dubstep artist, go and see them Live. (Realy do it!)

I've been asked to write a post about 'Macy Gray'. First I did'nt know who the fuck 'Macy Gray' was. I recognized her name but I just did'nt know from what. therefore I've been looking around the internet for her, and discovered some of her songs.

'Macy Gray' is member of 'Interscope Records', the recordlabel of artists like 'Dr. Dre', 'N.E.R.D', 'The Police' and 'Wolfmother'. Macy was one of the most influent ladies in the Hip-Hop/Soul scene over the world. But after her 4th album she took a break and stopped making music for a while. Then she realized that she wanted to make records again, she wanted to make hits again.

Just a few weeks ago, Macy is coming back with a big big project called 'The Gray Life', with the aim to make her famous and succesful again. Macy said:

Before she took a break, the music she made was a mix between Hip-Hop and Soul. Though when I'm listening to her old songs, I hear a bit of reggae hiding in her songs. But that's just my opinion. Whitout any doubt the music she made before her break was good.

Her new song, called 'Slap a Bitch' is different. The music is harder, the song is faster in comparison with her old songs. It is even better than them old ones. Just listen and form your own opinion

Some time ago, 'Shook' sended an e-mail to me that he wanted to now my opinion about his music. I liked it, and listened a few times to his songs. But after that I just forgot that I have his music on my computer.

I rediscovered the music of this Dutch producer a week ago. And now I am fond of 'Shook'. If you like music such as 'Daft Punk', 'Justice' or 'Kavinsky', then you'll be fine with the music he makes. Remember 'Shook' because he's going to be very known!

Those dope synths, the funky basses, they are all perfect in his songs!

The best song, I think, is 'The Glow'. Put your speakers loud!

Finally the new 'Justice' CD & DVD is out. I am going to buy it tomorrow, but this evening I'm watching the DVD. More on that subject tomorrow. I have no time at all to write a massive post now so now you're just getting a little one.

SebastiAn has made a remix of 'the Who'. One of my favourite songs of that old old group. SebastiAn is making it new again, is making the song dancable (wtf did I just say?) with his remix of the song.

It's been a long long time!

Ok I admit it's been a long long time since I wrote on this blog. I had so much to do! Like last weekend. Friday, I've been to 'So Me', 'Dj Mehdi', 'Justice' and 'Busy P' in the 'Melkweg'. The concerts were awesome-o! Everyone was jumping and screaming. The atmosphere in 'The Max' was good. And Justice with their dj-set rocked the shit out!

Saturday was the day of I LOVE TECHNO. Honestly, I did expect more of a festival with a big name like that. It was not good organised, the audience was'nt nice, the atmosphere sucked and the halls were too big! But the artists were good. Especially 'Underworld' and 'Dj Mehdi'.

'Le Le' is a dutch group consisting Pièt Par'a, Rimer London and Serge Fabergé (known of 'De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig'). ' Le Le' is making a mix between electro and Hip-Hop. Here's a remix of Mercury and it's a bit more electronic.

'Dj Mehdi' is a French Dj and member of the 'Ed Banger Records' crew. You can describe his songs by a mix of electro and Hip-Hop too! But when he's mixing live his songs are mainly house songs. But O M G he rocks man! Here is one of his last singles.

Some french friends of mine are in a band, called 'Divine Paiste'.
Pierre Yves plays guitar and is also lead singer. Paul is responsable for the guitar. Pierre is doing the bass. And Sebastien taps the drums. I describe their music as Britpop, with a little funk.
A few weeks ago they just recorded their new EP called 'CRASH LIGHT BUTTON'.
Divine Paiste is already known in their region, and even doing gigs in Holland too!
Remember this name, cause I know that they will be very known in a few years.
